At Bluey’s Engine Shop, we stand behind the quality of every used outboard motor and JDM engine we sell. We provide detailed descriptions, high-quality photos, and professional condition reports to help you make an informed decision.

14-Day Inspection Period

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to inspect the engine. Returns are only accepted under specific conditions outlined below.

1. What Qualifies for a Return or Refund

The engine has a major mechanical fault that was not disclosed in the listing or condition report.
The engine is significantly different from the description or specifications provided (wrong model, horsepower, etc.).
Significant undisclosed damage that seriously affects the engine’s performance.

2. What Does NOT Qualify for Return or Refund

Change of mind
Buying the wrong engine for your boat or vehicle
Normal wear and tear (scratches, minor surface rust, cosmetic marks)
Damage caused after delivery (improper installation, misuse, accident, or neglect)
Engines that have been started, fitted, run, or modified in any way
Electrical components, service parts, or consumables

3. Return Process

Contact us within 14 days of delivery by emailing sales@blueysengineshop.com.au.
Include your order/invoice number and clear photos or videos showing the issue.
We will review your request and respond within 1–2 business days.
If approved, we will provide detailed return instructions.

Note: All returns must be returned in the original packaging/pallet where possible. The customer is responsible for return freight costs unless the engine is faulty or incorrectly described.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued minus a 15% restocking fee (standard for used engines).
A full refund (no restocking fee) will only apply if the engine is significantly not as described or has a major undisclosed fault.
Refunds are processed within 7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned engine.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

5. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Important: Engines must be returned in the same condition as received (excluding reasonable inspection). We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet the conditions above.
